why do women goflers always show off their belly?

ive been watching womens golf and ive noticed that whenver they swing we see about half their belly? why do they do this? and do they do it on purpose?

why do tennis players show off there underpants? they play in makup? why do they have cool shades on? for most players men or women they noumber one want to be comfortable and non restricting. wile putting and chipping they do not want any clothing to come into contact with there golf club . they also want to look good ! if they look good they will have a better mental image of themselves therefore being more possitive threw the day. they are also trying to get your attention. if they are attractive to the public they will be more attractive to sponsors and the media. this is how they make a living… and for most golfers playing on tv on a sunday afternoon is a big deal! would be for you too.. dress for comfort and put on something nice ! your on tv and its a big big day!

Is a Winn 5715W-TN Excel Golf Grip made for a mens club or a womens golf club?

I just bought some of these and I’m having way to much trouble putting them on the club. I thought maybe I bought the women’s grip instead of the men’s… anybody know?

The 57 part is probably the size .570 inches. Winn grips are hard to get on. use a lot of solvent and cap shaft end with tape. there is a tool used for the old taylormade bubble grips that can help too. Be quick and firm.

What is the orrigin of the word Golf. Is it gents only ladies forbidden or is that just and old wives tale?

The gents only, ladies forbidden is just an old wives tale, as the word wasn't even originally spelled golf.

The word "golf" is recorded as long ago as 1457, in the statutes of the Scottish Parliament, when the sport was banned because it interfered with archery practice. The word was also spelled "gowf", reflecting the way the Scots pronounced it. Some say the word derives from an Old Dutch word "kolf, kolven" meaning club, clubs.

Is it true that GOLF originally stood for Gentleman Only, Ladies Forbidden?

My dad told me this a while back, and I'm wondering if he made it up.

No. "Did the word "golf" originate as an acronym for "gentlemen only, ladies forbidden"? That's a common old wives' tale. Or, in this case, more likely an old husband's tale.
No, "golf" is not an acronym for "gentlemen only, ladies forbidden." If you've ever heard that, forget it immediately. Better yet, find the person who told you and let them know it's not true.

Like most modern words, the word "golf" derives from older languages and dialects. In this case, the languages in question are medieval Dutch and old Scots.

The medieval Dutch word "kolf" or "kolve" meant "club." It is believed that word passed to the Scots, whose old Scots dialect transformed the word into "golve," "gowl" or "gouf."

By the 16th Century, the word "golf" had emerged."
