Getting the Most Benefit from Online Golfing

How to be a Better Woman Golfer
by Chris Channing
Golf is a stress-relieving sport enjoyed by many. But once the same golf course starts to become repetitive, and equipment starts to become outdated, the need to find the best solutions online becomes apparent. There are online golf communities that can make this process much easier, as well as providing extra functionally to benefit golf players.Golf players are always fantasizing about playing at the famous golf courses all around the world- whether in Japan or Las Vegas. But a world-class golf course isn’t required to have a world-class experience. Indeed, good courses all over the world can be found at online golf communities, where users can review golfing courses and comment of their experience. This is quite helpful when trying to determine whether or not traveling to a golf course is worth it or not.

Just as with golf courses, golf equipment reviewed spread through golf networks online are always a good read. New technologies are always being developed that impact how clubs, balls, tees, and other equipment affects the overall game. Staying updated on such equipment, and getting advice from the professionals, is a sure way to stay on the very tip top of one’s game.

Getting better at golf takes time, patience, and good instruction. One way to get the good instruction is through golfing communities, where videos on techniques are commonly posted. Getting better at golf can even be done while it’s raining in this case, meaning one can improve his or her game rain or shine. It won’t replace real practice, but it definitely helps improve a golfer’s overall view of the game, their techniques, and what’s required to get the best benefit.

Finding golf buddies online is something that hasn’t really become mainstream. The process is quickly in the works, as can be seen with the functionality many online golf networking websites are allowing for. By looking at profiles made by other golfers, anyone can contact others and schedule fun golf outings absolutely free and with ease. This is especially handy when traveling to new areas, as a helpful new golf buddy can give great advice on the course or even join in on the fun for a quick game.

As we can see, there is a lot that golfing communities can offer. Except an Internet connection, the process is usually free as well. With nothing to lose, obtaining a golfing community profile is always worth a shot. It’ll allow for great reviews, and even perhaps new friends to go golfing with in the future if at all necessary.

all i really want are pink golf clubs… im re-joining the golf team at school next year and i want a new set of golf clubs and i want pink ones… do you think i would embarrass my self using these.. or are they actually really nice golf clubs???
if you know of any better/nicer pink golf clubs please send me a link to them!!!
awwww!!! haha all i want are pink clubs!!!! haha but ill take your advice thank you!! lol

The clubs are left handed and not of a good enough quality to suit a member of a golf team. If you are a serious player you need a serious set of clubs to play with. Most major manufacturers have ladies clubs in their line ups and some lesser known brands are better than others.Snake Eyes available through Golfsmith have a Python model that can be built with a pink head, shaft and grip. Even Paula Creamer would be envious of these pink clubs. Snake Eyes does have a good reputation as does Golfsmith so if pink is your choice good luck with these.

My wife is 5'10" and quite strong. Would senior golf clubs be a better fit than ladies clubs?

defiantly the senior clubs are the Better choice. senior clubs have a slightly higher kick point in their shafts than women's. this will improve accuracy. senior irons also have stronger lofts than women's clubs, this equals more distance. the 3 and four possibly 5 iron may be harder to hit due to strong lofts. a hi bird would be a perfect replacement for your wife. since she is stronger, therefore more athletic. senior shafts much better quality shafts than used in women's clubs. with added strength your wife may well have the strength to Control a 58 to 60 degree sand/lob wedge. there is no doubt go with the senior clubs. more brands. a good custom fitter which is hard to ind would recommend senior shafts. have had the experience of purchasing a senior set at a flea market. must be 7 years ago. the lady who tried these bought them still using them. more than happy. right choice.

should girls use golf clubs for the ladies?

hello there.

i’m a 19 year old who uses men’s golf clubs.

well, i think they’re somewhat heavy..

but i can still make the ball fly using those.

example.. i can hit 80 yards using a PW.

i wonder if i should get myself a new set for girls.

but i’m quite worried because those might be too light.

i mean,

changing from heavy to light clubs..

might have an effect on my swing.

what do you think?

anyway, i’m really planning on buying a new one.

but i don’t know..

if i should buy another set for men or ladies.

thanks for reading.
i want to hit more yards.

and i was thinking..

if using a men's or ladies' club,

will make it happen.

Hi, I’m a female golfer that used to use men’s clubs like you and I have since switched to women’s clubs.

It’s true women’s clubs are shorter, but if you aren’t average height you can have them lengthened or shortened depending on your needs.

The real difference between men’s and women’s clubs is the shaft flex (for graphite shafts) and the angle of the club face on the irons. In women’s clubs both of these are designed to improve the game of someone with a slower swing speed, i.e. women. The flex is greater and helps create more whip at the point of impact with the ball, which creates more force. The angle is also slightly greater to help get more lift and distance with the club.

The weight difference you mentioned is more about switching from metal shafts to graphite, which I personally recommend having made that switch myself a few years ago. It does take some getting used to, but you should expect that with any clubs you purchase. I can tell you that I definitely noticed an improvement when I switched to graphite shafts.

If you have the opportunity you should try going to a store where you can hit the clubs you are about to buy. Women’s clubs have many choices that can help all levels of golfers from beginner (hybrid irons) to scratch (true irons), which is why it’s important to swing the clubs before making a decision. Only you can find out what you’ll hit well.

Overall I would suggest using women’s clubs with graphite shafts to improve your game. With the club technology on the market today it’s tough not to make that decision.

Good luck.

Which golf set is better for a beginner?

I want to buy my mom a golf set for Christmas because she has always wanted to learn how to play. Which set do you think would be better?

1) http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B001KY2HNS/ref=ord_cart_shr?_encoding=UTF8&m=A2WHGOX8NOQ9T3&v=glance

2) http://www.overstock.com/Sports-Toys/Nextt-Z-One-Womens-14-piece-Golf-Club-Set/3261632/product.html

In the end, the best set of clubs for any individual is the one that feels the best to them, as that typically results in the best performance. Feel is everything!! And you'll be amazed at just how different one set feels from another when you hit balls with them…even sets that are supposed to be of the same quality level!!!

I like the suggestion that you give her lessons instead. Let her work with a pro a bit and then buy clubs. The experience of the lessons will both allow the pro to give her guidance about the clubs she should try and it will give your mom some experience so she can try before she buys and therein buy with confidence.

On the other hand, if you really want to give her clubs, then I'd recommend a gift certificate to a golf shop like Golf Galaxy or Golfsmith. That way she can go to the store and try a variety of beginner sets in the simulator and buy the set that feels best to her.

If she can get some lessons before she goes shopping, so much the better, as she'll have some experience and will be more likely to buy a set that will serve her well as she learns to play.

Not that giving someone golf clubs is "bad" gift idea…please don't think I'm saying that. But what I am saying is that feel is a critical component to the success of your game and it's impossible to know how a set of clubs will feel until the person who has to use them actually hits some balls with them. In the long run, she will be better off (and therein happier) if she gets a few lessons first and then buys the clubs that she likes best when she actually swings them. And shops like Golf Galaxy or Golfsmith will have several different sets she can try before she buys.

Now if a gift certificate just doesn't have the feel you're looking for, then I'd go with the recommendation above from "godsavethegoverment". Or, I'd go to a Golf Galxy or Golfsmith store and get some recommendations from them.

Very thoughtful gift idea…good luck!!
