Should I be using mens golf clubs?

I’m 5 foot 8 and deffinately growing. I have womens golf clubs that I got when I was about 5 foot 4 or so. Should I have mens golf clubs fir this upcoming season?

I would say yes especially if you’re growing. Not only are they shorter, you get alot less power than you would with mens. If you want to continue to play golf and if you’re pretty good then yes. I’m 5’10 an I got mens when I
was 5’4.

Golf Exercises: Lower Back & Hip Stretches for Golf Flexibility

Golfers who exercise properly, following a well structured, golf specific exercise program – perform better than their out of shape golf pals.

This leads to the question: What is a properly targeted, golf specific exercise program?

Any golf specific conditioning program worth it’s salt should be built on a foundation of full-body, golf flexibility. Without flexibility – nothing else matters. If you have the proper stretching routine in place – then you have laid the foundation to add the other essential golf conditioning components.

Those components are:

1 – Core Training for Golf

2 – Strength-Durance for Golf

The synergies between these golf fitness components give adequate stimulation to the areas of the body in amounts which are appropriate for the sport.

Additionally, when stretching is the foundation of your golf exercise program – there are other tremendous benefits which go beyond a golfer’s performance on the course.

Some of those benefits are:

1 – Reduction in aches and pains – both acute and chronic.

2 – Faster between-round recovery and recuperation.

3 – Prevention/reduced chances of future golf injuries (neck, back, hips, shoulders, etc…)

4 – Better performance in the bedroom – regardless of age.

It’s important to note – when you begin your golf stretching plan – that you place initial focus on golf stretches for your back and hips. From there you can simply add to it, one body zone at a time.

Your ideal flexibility routine will consist of a longer version which can be done daily – or every other day. And it will also include a shorter variation which you can do when you are pressed for time – or just before heading out from the clubhouse.

You will also get more results by stretching before hitting the practice range and before lessons. It is also extremely beneficial to stretch after each round is you have the time to do it.

what would happen if i played a womens golf ball?

if i swing just over 100 mph…whats gonna be the effect on the ball compared to a hard compression ball

With a swing speed of 100 mph you are too fast for the women’s low compression golf ball.
Women’s balls will be too soft and hence you will lose distance. A higher compression ball, say 85-100 will be optimally compressed at your swing speed therefore getting you maximum speed for your swing and therefore maximum carry distance.

Now, there is a lot of misunderstanding about golf ball compression – many think that high-compression has a hard feel, and gives no spin, and no feel. This is incorrect (check the source): The tour grade Pro V1 has a compression of 84-96, it feels soft and gives heaps of spin. In contrast, the Titleist DT So/Lo for beginners has a compression of 66-74 and feels like a rock and has no spin at all – which helps to cure slice-hooking tendencies.
