Best Lady Golf Clubs?

So I’m 5’10, 16, and I’ve been playing golf for about a year and a half now. I’m on the varsity girls golf team at my high school and I usually shoot around 100-110.

I need new golf clubs. I have 2006 Willson Hope set, that we’ve paid to get extended (about a year ago) to standard men’s length. Now that I’m on varsity I think it’s time for me to get some serious clubs. My parent’s won’t go over 1,000. And they won’t let me get a job (did I mention I’m taking two college courses?) anyhoo, they would strongly prefer under 700.

I was looking at the Lynx 2008 Crystal Cat Set and the Adams Lady A3. It would be easier for me to buy a set because neither of my parents play or have ever played golf, so I wouldn’t even know where to start. Any help or suggestions?

First of all, congratulations on making the golf team and working hard at academics too.

As a PGA Club Professional, I highly recommend that you see a local PGA Professional in your area and get custom fit for a set of clubs. There are a few advantages in doing this.

You will play better golf because you are using clubs that are built specifically for you, your swing, your stance and all other attributes. Now as for the cost. A custom set of clubs is no more expensive buying them off the rack. In most cases, if buying from the Pro, you may get a better deal and some lessons thrown in free during the course of the fitting.

If you need help locating a Club Professional, check the pga.com website and follow the link to locate a professional in your area.

Good Luck,
Irish

can my 10 year old use ladies golf clubs?

My 10 year old is 5ft 1" and his hands are the same size as mine… a friend told me he can use ladies clubs sine the kids clubs are so small for him… Is this true? Or should he get mens? Thanks!
Thanks for all the replies! I guess I should have specified that I am his mom posting… :) I didn’t realize it was coming up under my hubby – so my son’s hands are as big as mine (ladies)… Thanks so much for the great advice – it has all been so helpful!! Now we are going shopping!!!! ;)

Yes, women’s will fit fine and be light and flexible enough for him to maneuver, they also make teen sets as well (which aren’t much different, but maybe a bit cheaper). Mens will be too long, heavy and stiff. He should do okay with women’s or teen’s until he’s ready to move to men’s (most-likely around age 14), depending on height and swing speed.

Selling set of Foremost tour 250 golf clubs…how much do I ask?

I have a set of Foremost tour 250 golf club, ladies clubs, I think. I’m having a garage sale and was wondering how much I should ask. Two clubs have been only used once. The other ones are brand new. There’s also a brand new bag and 3 boxes (36 total) of golf balls. Thanks.

Depending on what the balls are they are probably more valuable than the clubs.
The clubs are worth 20 bucks tops. Horrible cheap clubs. Anyone who has Foremost clubs probably don’t have good balls either. Be happy if you can get 50 bucks for the whole lot.

any suggestions on what type of ladie clubs to get for a 5 foot 11 13 year old. medium to slow swing speed. currently driving 230 average.

Go see your local pro or a golf shop like Dick’s that has a pro on staff and get properly fitted. It’s all about feel and confidence.

5’7" female wanting to buy golf clubs, what do you think of these?

I want these clubs how do you think they will fit height wise. Thank you.

http://www.golfio.com/golf-equipment/wilson-lady-luxe-complete-full-set/43549.htm

oh and also how do you know if a set is good or not. thank you.

Have you hit any of the clubs before? That’s how you would know if you like them or not. If you can find them at your local pro shop, they’ll put some tape over the clubface and let you try them out. You may want to get fitted for your clubs. You’re tall enough to play a men’s set. Women’s clubs are cut shorter so buying a women’s set may not suit your game. You can get fitted for a men’s set with a shaft flex suitable to your swing speed. If I were you, I would go that route.

Looking to buy golf clubs for 5’7 lady?

Hi should i buy women’s or men’s clubs for a 5’7 lady? I don’t want to spend more than i have to but want a reasonably good set, can you recommend any makes?
Thanks.

A women’s set should be fine. Assuming you are buying for a beginner, the Ben Sayers M7 Ladies Package Set would give them everything they need in one go, including a bag, and is highly forgiving.
Alternatively, a great set of irons for beginners are the Cobra SZ Irons, and you can get these with a half price bag at the moment. Again, these are highly forgiving and have a high MOI design.
Happy shopping

What are the best golf clubs for a 14 year old?

I recently turned 14 years old and my height is about 5’3" I am pretty short for my age. I’ve gone through a lot of junior golf sets, and they are not long enough for me now. I’m looking into buying a new set of clubs. I’m wondering what the best clubs for me would be, ladies or mens? Any specific clubs/brands you recommend? I can afford a nice set of clubs. I need a full set of clubs; wedges, irons, woods, a putter, and a driver. I’m an average golfer for my age and usually par or bogey holes. I’m starting to golf a lot more and I’ve really come to like the game. I want a nice driver, I’m not into used/cheapo clubs, but I do not want to get the fanciest set there is, and break the bank.
I’m not a beginner, I’ve been playing since I was young, now I need a better quality set.

I am 14 years old and these are some good clubs for anyone. I would recommend getting a..
TaylorMade Tour Burner Driver
TaylorMade Burner 3&5 Woods
TaylorMade Burner Irons
TaylorMade rac chrome 56 and 60 degree wedges
and an Odyssey straight shaft 2 ball putter.
If you want to find them a bit cheaper, then get them used and most of the time you can get some pretty nice used clubs at a reasonable price.

What are better beginner’s golf clubs for women: Lady Dunlop or Wilson "Hope Golf Set"?

Dunlop = http://www.walmart.ca/Canada-Hunting.jsp?selection=listingDetails&page=sp&assetId=30964&imageId=43666&departmentId=47&categoryId=1269&tabId=7

Wilson = http://www.walmart.ca/Canada-Hunting.jsp?selection=listingDetails&page=sp&assetId=44875&imageId=62421&departmentId=47&categoryId=1269&tabId=7

Well, I wouldn’t choose either. It’s almost like a trick question really, what are the best "beginners" golf clubs to get for women. Well, quite honestly the cheapest you can find or even used would be the answer.

You want something that she can beat up on and practice with before opting for nicer clubs yes?

Then I’d probably check out the thrift store, and if you have to buy new I’d recommend some cheap set like this I just found:

I noticed you’re from Canada so I did check and they do ship to you ;) .

Good Luck!

Thanks, TheWriter
