Should Govt or the courts give directives to Private members clubs/ societies as to their admission policy ?
So a group of men decide to form a men's only club where they fart & swear all day & compare the stench or vileness & maybe expose their bottoms when the farting starts; I assure you that even as a man, it is not the type of club I would like to join & I will not ask the govt. to change the club's policy so I can join. Would a lady want to join the club? I doubt it. But when a private men's club is elitist like many golf clubs, casinos, spas, saunas, etc the women clamour for admission. There is nothing hindering them from forming their own clubs with their own rules & regulations barring men from attending. Certain clubs have membership fees that eliminate working class people from joining. The aristocrats have their joints where even your money would not let you in. The freedom to choose whom you associate with is one of the pillars of democracy.
So please do your thing & I'll do mine
No, and even further no.
Government also should not be giving directives to employers about who they should or shouldn't hire and fire.
More government always means less freedom.
