What are better beginner’s golf clubs for women: Lady Dunlop or Wilson "Hope Golf Set"?

Dunlop = http://www.walmart.ca/Canada-Hunting.jsp?selection=listingDetails&page=sp&assetId=30964&imageId=43666&departmentId=47&categoryId=1269&tabId=7

Wilson = http://www.walmart.ca/Canada-Hunting.jsp?selection=listingDetails&page=sp&assetId=44875&imageId=62421&departmentId=47&categoryId=1269&tabId=7

Well, I wouldn’t choose either. It’s almost like a trick question really, what are the best "beginners" golf clubs to get for women. Well, quite honestly the cheapest you can find or even used would be the answer.

You want something that she can beat up on and practice with before opting for nicer clubs yes?

Then I’d probably check out the thrift store, and if you have to buy new I’d recommend some cheap set like this I just found:

I noticed you’re from Canada so I did check and they do ship to you ;) .

Good Luck!

    My wife has the Wilson Hope. She like it a lot. I think the Wilson Hope is cheaper at Target.

    Wilson has a better design, but if you are buying them from walmart it really doesn’t matter. And if you are just starting out then it also won’t matter. Pick the cheapest and have fun…then when stop having fun because your clubs are holding you back…buy different clubs!

    Dunlop does make great bang for your buck golf clubs i have been buying dunlop clubs since i first started golfing at the age of 12.

    I recently bought the above Dunlop set for my fiance so she could learn how to golf and eventually keep up to me; they are actually better quality than my older Spalding set i got years back and paid $300 for that set of all stainless steal clubs.

    Problems with cheap golf clubs; there is nothing wrong with cheap golf clubs the reason why there cheap is because they are MASS produced across the world. I bet if the above sets were produced in the same numbers say as a more expensive Taylormade set the price would go up. *not as much as the Taylormade set but the $200 price tag may be more like $300-400 etc.

    The only advantages to expensive clubs is materials; different metals which usually only make up a 5% distance increase. The above Dunlop and Wilson Clubs are both made in China well my friend has a Taylormade club thats also made in China.

    So golf always comes down to the player and after teaching people how to play the game for the last few years, you could be the worst player in the world and if you think that $1200 set of JaZZ clubs will help your game you will find you wasted your money.

    I golf lots and my entire set of mismatched named clubs including, Dunlop,Wilson,Spalding,Nickent, and Alien(some of these brands no longer exist) is worth about $500 every club was bought on cleareance.

    And yes i would Recommend either the Wilson or Dunlop set; so really it all comes down to if you want to spend $250 for the Wilson set or $200 for the Dunlop both are name brands and have been around for a long time.
