Which golf clubs…?

I am looking to buy a complete set of golf clubs for ladies. I am just starting out and want to get good, but I do not want to spend a lot of money on clubs until I reach my goal. I was looking at Dicks Sporting Goods and found a few complete ladies sets. The name brands were Slazenger, Acuity, and Wilson. Which ones do you think are the best? and does it make you look bad if you are on a course and don't have real expensive one?
Another brand was Cougar Ti Cat.

Slazenger is a good name in golf and I would go with those clubs. In addition, purchase a sand wedge and 56 or 58 degree wedge for short chips. As your game develops and you want to go to an expensive set then I would choose Callaways. Instead of 2-4 irons purchase hybrid clubs for these irons. The sweet spot is larger for accuracy and distance. Rememer also to have a pro test your swing to adjust the clubs accordingly. Because of my upright swing my clubs are adjusted for +4.
Since you are starting out then no you don't look bad. Instead you look smart because why spend the money when just starting out and besides even inexpensive clubs are so much better today than clubs of old.

Whoa! Your golf clubs need to suit your physique and strength. Ask a golf professional or seek advice in a good golf shop. It would possibly be better to buy a secondhand set to start with, ask the pro. You may not want all 14 clubs to start with, the pro will help you to choose a set of 7, 8, 9 or whatever. If this is the pro you are learning with, so much the better.

As you improve, you will want different clubs, certainly the drivers and possibly the irons. This is because when you hit the ball harder and further you need a stiffer shaft to maintain accuracy.

When you playing on a course, other players can't see what brand your clubs are. If you want to impress, get a golf bag with Ping on it!

well if you are just starting i would suggest the cheapest ones because the clubs get damaged when used improperly, but as you get better, you can move to better brands, such as callaway, etc. I just started out too and i bought acuity

It doesn't matter what the best is. It matters which one you are comfortable with. The only thing that makes you look bad on the course is how badly you play. So go to Dick's and hit each brand and decide which one feels the best.
