How can you tell the difference between ladies and mens golf clubs?
I have a set given to me but i have no idea how to tell who they are for.
good grief on all the answers so far
women’s clubs, in general, and compared to men’s clubs:
have lighter heads and shafts,
have more flexible shafts
have lower bend/flex/kick point shafts
have smaller butts on teh shafts (smaller grips)
are shorter in finished length
may have more feminine colours or names
Compare them to a men’s set and go from there.
Google is also your friend if the heads or shafts have a name on them.

Take one of the clubs and go to the local golf course pro shop or sporting goods store and inquire. Perhaps the person will be cooperative and give you the answer.

ladies’ clubs have shafts that are more flexible than men’s shafts.
if you can create a bend without much force, then it’s a lady’s shaft.
That’s pretty much it.

I hate to say this but their shafts are shorter and their heads are smaller just like real life…their balls are different too…….Is this funny or what?
A lot of the time they have pastel accents. A women’s balls are named with female names like "The flying lady" and stuff like that.
The pitch of the heads will be the same, I think.
The very funny Johnny Carson asked Arnold Palmer’s wife how she showed her support for him before a tournament and in an off hand moment she said she kissed his balls.

Standard ladies clubs are lighter, generally different shafts and different lofts than mens clubs.
Ladies clubs are shorter and the kick point – where the shaft flexes – is usually higher up. A womans swing tends to be slower and more controlled so the extra length of whippyness adds to the clubhead speed.

Most ladies clubs have "girly" paint schemes and prints. They may feel abnormally light and/or whippy.
If you find out they are women’s clubs, you can just have the shafts switched out for something that a fitter recommends for your swing.

Ladies clubs are cut shorter and the shafts are lighter. They’ll say women’s flex or A-flex(which is unisex flex shaft). Men’s clubs may have A-flex also, but they’re for older players who cannot create a lot of clubhead speed.

Make a teetime for you and your golf buddies. If you make it to the first tee without being laughed off the course, you’ve got men’s clubs.
