Playing with a ladies golf ball?

so lately i have been playing with a Precept Ladies golf ball. Its seems to go further and straighter that the Pro VI ‘s and other top line golf balls. I am a 11 handicapp and have about a 85 mph swing. what do you think about this? Call me what you want but my score has been in the low 80′s consistently. Putting could be just a tad better. but overall I think its the golf ball.
I play with stiff shafts and my drives are about 220 yards max and I have a descent
short game.

If you swing that slow you need a ladies ball.

Who cares what other people think? Play what is best for YOU- not me, not Tiger, not Phil, not the guy teeing off on 4 at your local course… YOU.

There’s a guy I talk to online that games a pink Aldila shaft; it’s the same thing (NV) as the green model, but less expensive because it’s pink. He and his wife are big into Breast Cancer Awareness, so it also has personal meaning.

Do you remember the Precept Laddies? They’re the exact same thing as the Precept Ladies, only the extra "d" was added (makes it Scottish for guy, so to speak) to the name on the ball and packaging. Why? To protect the male ego. Yes, you read that right.

It’s also why shaft companies are slowly moving to different flex codes. Instead of the traditional L, A, R, S, X, they’re going to R3, R2, R1, SR, SX, etc… The "A" flex means "amateur", but the male ego doesn’t like that, so it came to be known as "senior"- as if a golf club knows how old or what gender the person swinging it is. It also covers half flexes. But with the new coding system, hopefully more people are apt to gravitate towards the flex they NEED instead of the one they WANT.

Ladies balls are designed for slower club head speed; they are softer and have a reactive quality, where they compress and expand after impact. For faster swings, above 100mph a harder ball is better; it will still compress about the same amount, because the club head is hitting with more force. A long hitting pro is probably around 125; the long drive guys are 140+.

If a long drive guy hit a ladies ball with full speed, the ball would compact, warp and probably wouldn’t go very far at all.
