what makes a ladies golf club a ladies?

i found new golf clubs online and they were classified as ladies, why?

Ladies golf clubs typically have a shaft that is more flexible (add speed to the club head) and has a head that weighs less. The length of the shaft is determined by the distance from the fingertips to the floor and not due to the sex of the player. The lighter head and the shaft with more flex are designed to assist with a player that is not as strong to be able to control the club and yet generate speed to allow a good strike on the ball. A majority of senior clubs also share these characteristics.

    Weight & length I think

I’m only guessing, but when I’ve tried using my sister’s "ladies" clubs, I found them to short for me, and had to use my brother-in-laws.

a lot of the time… a ladies golf club is lighter/shorter/ or has a softer shaft than a men’s club… men’s clubs often have metal shafts, and women’s have a lighter material as the shaft… ladies clubs can be categorized as "petite" which means they are lighter/shorter than other women’s clubs… hope this helps:)

Ladies clubs have a clubhead that is the same as mens . My nephews junior set of irons have a clubhead the same size as mine. The lies and lofts can be tweaked to a different degree. But ladies clubs are typically sold with more flexible shafts and some 1/2 inch shorter . Juniors are just really shorter and wildly flexible. Clubhead stays the same .
