FAIRWAY WOODS

7 wood, 5 wood, 3 wood? When do you use them? What technique is used?

Tonight’s session will be themed on the fairway wood shot from the ground. On long holes when you get your drive away this should be your next club but often golfers shy away from this club, opting for the ‘safer’ iron shot or hybrid. If you want to get more consistent with these clubs then join us tonight.

KEEP THE HEIGHT & PACE OF PLAY

Do you find you sometimes top the ball? This is often caused by the body position lifting out of posture throughout the swing. Tonight we will be checking in on how you stand to the ball with each club and going through some top drills on how to retain this position through the swing.

We will also discuss a common question which is how long do we have to play each shot on the course? What do we do when a group is close behind and how to let this not negatively effect your performance or enjoyment out on the course.

SUNDAY 16TH FEBRUARY 2020

PITCH PERFECT

This session will be all about the 25-50 yard distance. This yardage is extremely common when out on the course, it isn't a chip but also not a full shot, we therefore need to choose the correct club and technique for the shot. This morning we will go through both and record for each lady how far their clubs travel so you can take this information to the course this year!

THURSDAY 20TH FEBRUARY 2020

ROTATION VS SLIDE

To achieve a good level of consistency in golf we need to make sure we are rotating effectively through the swing. Often golfers attempt to generate too much power in the swing and start to slide their body causing mishits. Tonight we will be going through some good practice on how to rotate effectively.

We will also share some great exercises you can try at home to improve your flexibility!

SUNDAY 23RD FEBRUARY 2020

EXTEND TO EXCEL

There is not one perfect golf swing and indeed everyone has a different style. However the most important part of the swing is the impact zone...
This morning we will be focusing on your extension through this area. One of the most common faults in golf is becoming cramped in this impact area so this morning we will be freeing the impact zone up and it's amazing how well all golfers strike the ball when you reach a good level of extension with the arms through the hitting zone.
