My Journey

It is 4 years now since I first went on a Learn to Play course with John Cheetham. I had bought the Learn to Play course for my husband as a birthday present. He wondered why I thought he would want to learn to play golf - he felt I should also enrol so that as I was retiring we could play golf together. I am not sporty and I was dragged kicking and screaming to our first lesson.

John Cheetham definitely had his work cut out with me. I was determined to master the skills I needed. Always willing to overcome obstacles I embraced the challenges. John was in the process of setting up LLG and I was more than happy to be part of it. Slowly I began to feel confident enough to start playing in medal competitions at the 3 Hammers.

The increased confidence saw me wanting to play on full 18 hole courses. John was planning an overseas trip to Portugal, this was an even greater challenge but I was ready for it.

Away days, Masterclasses, personal lessons I was signed up for them all. Do I love golf? Yes I do!! I have golfing friends and a fabulous social life. I am now so glad I found golf. Never a dull moment.
