A huge part of what LLG has to offer are fantastic events, coaching days & breaks away! It's an opportunity to meet other likeminded ladies, visit some amazing venues, improve your game and most of all...have fun! 2020 has certainly been a challenging year however with golf making a welcome return back in June it's great to reflect on a few of our favourite days and events from the year and look ahead to what we have in store for 2021. A special thanks to all the ladies who supported each event and also the venues who worked so professionally to ensure there was a safe environment for all who attended! It was great to see so much enjoyment and laughter from all the events and further highlights the benefits of golf. We can't wait to deliver more days in 2021 and welcome more women to join our friendly community. AUGUST 2020 | LLG CHESHIRE COACHING BREAK | CARDEN PARK 10 ladies accompanied LLG Director John Cheetham for an amazing overnight stay with 2 rounds of golf playing the Nickluas & Cheshire Course. John provided some valuable on course tuition tips and scoring advice helping each lady to really improve. There were daily on-course challenges along with a 2-day team competition with prizes up for the grabs for the winners. The Carden Park Hotel staff were extremely friendly and professional allowing everyone to enjoy themselves in the evening with a few Gin & Tonics and a lovely meal. With the brand new spa open, the courses in great shape and fantastic feedback from the ladies who attended the coaching break I think Carden Park will certainly be on the calendar for 2021. SEPTEMBER 2020 | SHORT COURSE CHAMPIONSHIPS | 3 HAMMERS GOLF COMPLEX 32 ladies supported our Short Course Championships at the fantastic 3 Hammers Golf Complex. For the second year in a row the event was supported by our travel partner GolfBreaks.com. We hosted a doubles better ball competition in our usual relaxed, fun, environment. There was also a 'Beat The Pro Challenge' and a nearest the pin competition. The course was in great condition and the weather was perfect! After the golf the 3 Hammers Bistro put on an amazing BBQ outside once again ensuring a safe environment was created for all. The Short Course Championship is perfect for golfers of all abilities and we can't wait for the 2021 event! SEPTEMBER 2020 | LLG AWAY DAY | THE CHASE GOLF CLUB 26 ladies attended our LLG Coaching Day at The Chase Golf Club. PGA Professionals John Cheetham and Olivia Pearson hosted a morning of small coaching clinics focusing on putting alignment, chipping & club selection around the greens. Next it was to the course for a team game where both Olivia and John were on hand to offer valuable advice on improving key areas of the game including sloping lies, fairway shots and green reading. Our LLG away days are an ideal opportunity to move away from the driving range and help to improve the scoring out on the course. We're excited to host more away days around the country in 2021.
